About us
AMH's physical therapy department is staffed by local therapists of Overland Rehab Services. In collaboration with AMH, Overland has provided high quality physical therapy services to Neligh and surrounding communities for over 24 years.

Services Provided:

Orthopedic Rehab
Following orthopedic surgery:

Our physical therapists work closely with you and your doctor following your surgery at AMH.

If you have surgery elsewhere - our physical therapists are able to maintain communication with your physician to progress your rehabilitation after surgery.

We also offer "pre-surgical" therapy sessions to help teach the use of assistive devices along with providing exercises to do at home - prior to your surgery.

Post-surgical rehab offered for:

Knee scope

Shoulder scope

Rotator Cuff repairs

Joint replacements

In-Home therapy

Physical therapy - in your own home if prescribed by your physician as a transition to outpatient therapy as applicable
Orthopedic/Sports Medicine Surgeries offered at AMH 
Dr. Jared Rickert, orthopedic surgeon, performs a multitude of orthopedic procedures in-house at AMH. He specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of injuries and disorders of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. The surgeries he offers at AMH include, but are not limited to:

Joint Replacement - Hip, Knee and Shoulder
(including partial knee replacement and anterior hip replacement)

Sports Medicine injuries such as rotator cuff repair, ACL repair, torn meniscus and shoulder instability

Orthopedic trauma

Care of fractures and dislocations

Hand surgery/procedures

Aquatic therapy

Underwater treadmills, balance exercises in a warm therapy pool are often used as a tool to progress you to a land-based rehabilitation program

Pediatric therapy

Our therapist is specifically trained to work with children and their unique conditions

Balance therapy and fall prevention

Focuses on exercises to test and train your balance to prevent future falls

Our therapists will work with you to get you safely back to work as quickly as possible.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

If your doctor recommends physical therapy for treatment of dizziness and/or balance disturbances, our physical therapists can prescribe exercises specific for your needs.

Incontinence/pelvic floor therapy

Our therapist is specifically trained in pelvic floor rehabilitation to help you maintain a high quality of life CVA/TBI therapy.

Our therapists are specifically trained in neurological rehabilitation to help patients who have suffered a stroke or traumatic brain injury

Sports medicine
Athletic Trainers
Athletic Trainers (ATs) are highly skilled health care professionals who work with your organization to advise and execute plans in addressing issues such as emergency and preventative care, environmental conditions, facility and equipment safety and other sports- and job-related matters. ATs can help your school, business or community organization better oversee injury prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.
